What data is collected?
Only that personal data is collected that is necessary to comply with a certain part of our services or to send you information.
That could be:
- First name and last name
- Email address
In addition, the responsible owner of this website can also store additional data, such as a telephone number, your department, your class, a membership number...
Why are your personal data kept?
Your personal data will be used for a specific purpose (and only for that purpose) with the following legal bases:
- Communication in connection with your loan or reservations
- Identification on the website, so that you can monitor your lending or reservations yourself, create a favorites list or manage other personal lists
No marketing profiles are created on the basis of entered data. An exception to this is only possible with your explicit permission.
How long is your data kept?
Personal data is kept for as long as is necessary to provide you with the service that you activated yourself or for which you gave permission. Your personal data will be kept for a maximum of 5 years after the last use.
Transfer to third parties
Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties. We only use services that process personal data if we have a processing agreement with them, if they are necessary for our services and information provision and if they can guarantee the secure storage of personal data with a guarantee for your privacy.
Your personal data will only be passed on if this is necessary for the purpose for which you gave permission and provided the personal data (monitoring lending, library communication...) or if this is legally required and permitted (for example in the context of a judicial investigation). .
We do not provide personal data to parties located outside the EU.
We only process personal data of minors if written permission has been given by the parent or legal representative. This always takes place in the context of a different agreement (e.g. processing personal data of school children in the context of a school library).
The computers and internet connections on which your personal data are stored and transported are as secure as possible against hacking, installing malware and other improper use. The computers and the network can only be logged in with a username and password.
Anyone who can view or know your personal data on behalf of the responsible owner is bound by the confidentiality of that information.
Personal data is backed up in order to be able to restore it in the event of physical or technical incidents. All employees of the responsible developer (vision*r bv) have been informed about the importance of protecting personal data and privacy. If necessary, personal data is pseudonymised and encrypted. The systems are regularly tested and evaluated.
This website uses two types of cookies:
- essential (session-based) cookies, for example to transfer search information from one page to another page
- functional cookies, for example to remember your language choice or your login details so that you are immediately recognized next time
Both types can either not be disabled, or are only placed if you as a user choose this (for example when logging in). They therefore fall under the exception of the GDPR legislation - no further permission is required for this.
If things go wrong
We handle your personal data as carefully as possible and keep it secure. If something goes wrong, we will inform you as soon as possible and do everything we can to limit the damage.
